The Short Version
The cheapest part of the array, and the one that fails first.
Cable sits in the wall, the conduit or the sun for the life of the system, in a run nobody wants to re-pull. Conductor purity and insulation grade are what decide whether it is still doing its job in year fifteen — which is why these are drawn from 99.99% pure copper and insulated to high voltage grade.
99.99% pure copper
Conductivity is set by purity. Recycled or alloyed conductor runs hotter for the same current.
Flame retardant
FR grade, for the safety margin that matters in a wall or a conduit.
High voltage grade insulation
Specified above ordinary domestic wiring grade.
Flexible and durable

What sizes are available?
AC from 0.5 up to 10 sq mm, across the IYRO Green, IYRO Gold and IYRO Home Guard ranges. DC in 4, 6, 10 and 16 sq mm.
Can I use ordinary house wire on the DC side?
No. Solar DC runs sit at high voltage in full sun and need cable specified for it — which is why the DC sizes are listed separately.
How do I size the cable?
By current, run length and acceptable voltage drop — usually held under 2% on the DC side. Send the string layout and we will size it.
